His experience in the restaurant and bar industry dates back over 20+ years, as he made a name for himself in the production and promotion of special events, corporate events and festivals. Benattar’s expertise lies in establishing strategic alliances and
partnerships with world renowned brands as well as insuring that his establishments feature superior staffing, upscale service, original concepts and warm hospitality. His efforts in the development of FLYJIN have seen magnanimous success. Flyjin is one of Montreal’s hottest supper clubs, operating at a profit since its inception in 2012. Flyjin is located in Old Montreal with allure and mystique, the supper club assumes the air of mystery and intrigue.
The supper club attracts to locals, tourists, foodies, and partygoers alike. Resident and guest DJs bring scintillating House music to the crowd, making Flyjin a well-known celebrity hotspot.

Fusing a high-end brand with corporate clientele and local as well as tourist foodies, JATOBA offers a fine dining experience in the heart of downtown Montreal. Together with his partners, Benattar’s synergistic approach to the project established in 2014, the restaurant features a 4 season terrace garden and was voted Best New Restaurant in Canada, according to En Route Air Canada.
BABACOOL is another creation that BENATTAR opened in 2021 located in the heart of Old Montreal and features a Middle Eastern flavour tapas concept with a modern twist. A second location opened at Centropolis in Laval in 2023 and is already a go to destination of the city. With plans of rolling out more locations in the near future, stay tuned for the next addresses to be announced.
This project came to life as a festive cocktail driven restaurant called NOMI which opened in late 2022 a few doors down from JATOBA.
Nomi is a stylish and welcoming asian fusion buvette. Its sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere and delicious food and cocktail offerings make it a perfect spot for a date, an outing with friends or an after work gathering.
